A bad influence in the locker room can be detrimental to a team trying to win some games.

As good a time for the coaches to make a point as any. Probably helps secure a 1 win season, but hey...it is what it is this year.
Hang in there fellow Ute fans, this year is exactly what it was expected to be...there's good things waiting in the wings for next year. I ain't scared.

great move by the coaches.

Coach K.has courage to do what is best for the team in all ways, besides seeking a win...Utes have a great basketball tradition, hope to see them get things turned right side up, be whole and win every game...except when they play the Y.

It will be interesting to see if the team now has fewer turnovers.

Umm, did that guy have any time to get benched? I think he spent most his time making UMASS and Fresno look good, whilst simultaneously breaking team rules.

Re: "54-10" So, I'm guessing an 82-52 beat down of highly touted Fresno State is akin to the football game? Come to think about it, I think I may change my display name to "82-52" or, better yet, to "1-6"? My word how the basketball program continues to dive. But welcome to the Pac 12 anyhow. Enjoy the conference schedule.

What this means for the Utah team:
- Kareem Storey gets more minutes and opportunities to grow.
- More team ball.
- Less Jiggy dribble-fest.
- Hines will have to slide over and play more point.
- Odunsi will have more minutes at the 2 (and some at point).
- Martin will have more minutes at 2 and less at 3.
- Mathews will have to play some minutes at the 3.
- Random walks on get more time (ouch).

What this doesn't mean:
- That the Utes will be any better this year in the win column.

Long, long, long, long, long season.

che loco - of course there will be defections at the end of the season - the team is going to win 1 or 2 games. Weed out the less talented to make room for more talent. Next year's recruiting class could beat this years team right now.

Tough loss. Hope the team can rebound!
