It is all about connections. The culture kills me!
Congratulations to Professor Holland! It does help to have connections and maybe the cultural influence is felt more so in Utah, I wouldn't say Neveda. Also, I would never minimize the fact that Elder and Sister Holland have provided rich educational experiences to their children from the time they were young, before BYU & General Authority days. If you know anything about any single member of their family, they are all accomplished, free thinking, very intelligent and education is among the highest of their priorities. You can't earn an MA and PhD from a place like Stanford because your father is a GA for the LDS Church. Professor Holland earned it and this award is well deserved! Glad to read of this.
