Could be a lot of new faces.
Hate to see Russell leave. Collen Warner...eh, no biggie. Williams, I thought had a terrible playoff. He gave up the ball on ill-timed, inaccurate passes all three games, but during the season he was steady-Eddy and I think we benefit from his veteran experience. I'm excited to see who we can pick up this year.
Looks like new faces are coming to RSL, which I think is good, just makes RSL better, and we know they are already one of the top teams in MLS.
Younger does not always mean better, look at all of the young players that they decided not to pick up the options on their contracts. Alvarez was making a heck of a lot more money than Andy to sit on the bench. The last playoff game in Seattle wasn't his best, but it wasn't a great game for most of the team. He's played much younger than 34 in his last 2 years, and should still be PLAYING soccer for RSL for at least another year.
I agree younger is not always better. I am ticked Real is letting Bomma go. He was the best to watch, total skill! While all the young guys, except luis, flopped and the main guys were all injured Bomma helped keep the team together. Not a happy ticket holder! Good Luck to Bomma!!!
Don't forget about Paulo Jr!
