    talk to emergency service personnel
    - they really are a bit fearful of having to cut into of those 'green' cars- lots of voltage

Wait. There was ONE fire from an accident and one case of sparks on a tested car? Is this statiscally greater than the number of fires that occur in normal vehicles? Every risk needs a context and it seems this needs to weighed heavily against standard risks and if isn't higher or only slightly higher then I think it's okay to let the car continue with consumers being informed of the potential hazards.

We sure seem to want the GM volt to fail. Not sure why. Here's an idea, if you don't like the concept, don't buy one. Get a guzzler, let's face it the price of gas will never go up so we don't have to try to find a way to wean ourselves from it. Right?

Hopefully the national media is as public with GM as they were with Toyota and their recent issues.
