This is an interesting article with inspiring sentiments expressed. One of my favorite reasons for doing family research is the fine outstanding examples of courage and spirituality, just as the author of the article has done. Once while on a quick trip to Boonsboro, MD, I learned that my ancestor, William Boone a founder of this historic burg, was of Lincoln lineage, tying us to Abraham Lincoln. I'd always been a Lincoln fan, and I'd just visited Antietam, a dark time for him, when I learned of my second cousin connection to him. I agree with the author that we need to appreciate our ancestors, recent and far back. We all have ancestors who have walked the extra mile, and I'm glad I know great tidbits about many of them.
