Congratulations to all Hurricane players on a well deserved victory and an undefeated season! It was great to get to congratulate Taylor Parker and dad after the game in person. Classy, classy program and people!
Edwards are one of many families in Hurricane who have been bearing this weight. Current players who I can think with older brothers or Dad's who have been to Championship games or Semi Finals: Parker (dad), Prince (dad), Lebarron (dad), Stratton (dad), Scott (brother), Nelson (Brother) and I'm sure there are a bundle more. Coach Hurst played in 89 game as well as Coach Ryan Christiansen's brother. I think this game means a lot to the Christiansens as well. They had three football players on great teams. I know the oldest played OLB on the 89 team at HHS and Dad (Wes) coached HHS to multiple Championship and Semi games.
This article is symbolic of the entire Hurricane community. The fans are so supportive! It is fun going to the games and being part of the fandom.
re:tigerfan
Who is the Parker kid's father?
Great story! I grew up around the Wayne Edwards Family they always treated me and my brother with great respect. We spent many hour playing together. Chris & Kerry were not only great athletes but some of the finiest people you will ever meet and their kids have turned out to be just like them. Good job! Love this article. Love you guys
Taylor's dad, Jason, was a line backer and running back on the 82 team. They actually beat the first place team (Millard) earlier in the season and suffered some key injuries that really hampered them in their loss in the Championship game. There are a few proud dad's from the 82 team.
Kerry Prince (QB) - Zach's Dad (backup qb/safety),
Stephen Stratton (Lineman) - Ethan's Dad (Kicker),
Ed Lebarron (FB/Linebacker) - Cody (backup rb),
Chris Edwards (linebacker) - Jared (rb/linebacker)
Shows we have some good football blood in Hurricane:)
Cody's dad is not Ed. dont guess tigerfan.
@woodness I don't think this is all that official. Why don't you correct it and add a few more because I'm sure I missed a few.
Congratulations Tiger Fans and Tiger Team, you played like a heart of a Tiger. Congrats again.
Congratulations to an amazing family and an amazing young man..all the way around!
