Eagle Point disagree.
Brianhead is close and convenient. But who wants to spend 20 minutes on the lift for a 10 minute run? And it's more like 3 and a half to four hours from Vegas.
This Arizonan will be there for the Thanksgiving weekend! My favorite ski trip to Brian Head was when we got snowed in on a Thursday, and couldn't come down the mountain... of course traffic couldn't come up either, so we had the place to ourselves Friday morning.
While I understand the previous commentor's grief over the amount of time it takes to get to the top (it can be chilly), I approach it as an opportunity to check my phone, converse with my family, enjoy the scenery and all that Brianhead has to offer. Someday they'll have the high speed lift, then you'll only have to complain about the crowds and the long lift lines!
