Whatever. Utah, and this newspaper, are hopelessly right wing. I am ready to give up that there will ever be any hope of truly rational, open-minded thought and discussion.

Dear Esquire,

Your ability to think clearly seems to be failing. What was right wing about reporting this mans desire to run for office and his belief that a farmer - farming the land may know better how to care for his land then Government employees in DC? If you are so sick of living in a right wing State of Utah why don't you move to California or Michigan, two good examples of liberal government? (High unemployment, High tax burden, Excessive regulation) Last thought... why are you so close minded to Jason Buck's point of view? Or is it being open minded - only listening to and spewing liberal points of view?

" If you are so sick of living in a right wing State of Utah why don't you move to California or Michigan, two good examples of liberal government?"

Funny how you left off Vermont, Iowa, Hawaii, or New Mexico - all three "liberal" states with unemployment rates less than Utah and Alaska. Or how about Mississippi and South Carolina - two "conservative" states with high unemployment? Way to cherry-pick your argument.

Why is the conservative mantra always - if you don't like it leave? Sounds like schoolyard bully tactics to me.

Wow, if he can blitz Congress like he did college and NFL backfields, I'd support him in a minute!

I like his comments in this article.

If you don't like the Deseret News because it is supposedly right wing, then go read the Huffington Post. Why do you complain when it is well known that certain news sources are more liberal or conservative than others. Your comment is a pointless attack considering you can move to more trashy news source like the Huffington Post or NY Times if you want.

I believe the Deseret News is somehow affiliated with the LDS Church. As such, this paper is going to report on LDS individuals and topics of interest. If you don't like it, then don't read it. Why are you reading the Deseret News and this article if you don't like LDS topics?

I was disappointed to read that Mr. Buck is studying with the group formed by W. Cleon Skousen. Where can we find traditional moderate Republicans?
