Coug's offense was weak throughout the game, but it was pathetic for 10 - 12 minutes in the second half. I can't wait until Carlino fills the PG position. Zylstra is not a PG. Maybe he can play the "2". I have to believe that Cusick, Winder or Martineau would do a better job at the PG position than what we saw tonight.

And Collinsworth has definately lost a step or two from where he was at the beginning of last year. I thought Austin did a better job off the bench than Collinsworth.

Make that 26 wins to one loss for Stew and instate home games. Is it any wonder that the Utes wont make the trip to Cache Valley anymore?

Kudos to the Aggies and Coach Morrill. They exposed BYU's shortcomings. The Cougars have a lot of work to do.

I just thought, what a great start to the weekend!

Just another typical game in Logan. The refs were intimidated by the fans and the Cougars were cheated. There were numerous fouls on the USU players that were not called. Same as always when you visit Logan.

Congratulations. Don't worry about the "Blue" no one in the lower divisions of the NCAA uses it right now. You will be the sole team with that blue next year.

Losing 6 seniors and having freshmen play significant rolls will do that to you on the first game of the season. Rest assured, we would blow them to pieces later in the season.

BYU has a good team, if they can find a point guard I think they'll be fine in the WCC.

BYU lost arguably their best player ever as well as one of their best defensive players ever. Jimmer+Emery > 6 Aggie seniors. BYU also had to rely on young and/or inexperienced players a lot.

BYU is also rebuilding and has talented pieces. Once they gel more and get their collective feet wet, they could be an excellent team. I think "later in the season" both teams will be better and it would be a closer game. And I think BYU would win.

@mildred. And I suppose you had no problem with the cougs being handed a victory by the refs last year in Provo.

USU won. Good for them. They are supposed to win on their home floor. I would guess that had this game been played in Provo, the Cougars would have won. On a neutral court? It's a toss up, but I think the Cougars would still win that one. The crowd really got into their heads late in the 2nd half when the Aggies managed to pull away. That wouldn't happen on a neutral court, I don't think.

Did you see the same game I did? I'll agree that those officials were beyond atrocious, but they were most definitely bad both ways. Go replay the first 10 minutes of the 2nd Half if you want to see it go BYU's way.

Just for the record...they were your referees (from your conference). WCC refs are the worst in the business. Enjoy that the rest of the year.

Oh no, the fall from greatness hurts. Should have seen it coming. Whie teams were double teaming Jimmer, that always left somebody open, so the returning players for BYU looked like they were great players hitting open shots last year. Now that all players can be guarded, looks like BYU would not win the MWC, WAC, or WCC. I know, Utes are bad, blah, blah, (though ex-Ute Morgan Grimm played a major role in the game) we have nowhere to go but up. But the fall is going to be very hard for Provo fans.

Congrats USU, but will you ever do anything relevant off of your home floor?

Dear Mildred, Please have someone teach you about basketball so that you will have at least a very small idea of how to comment on a game. The officials were WCC refs and bad all the way around.
