Finish strong! Will receive a decent bowl game and this will be a launching pad for next year.

Great to have Dres on the team. Hopefully he can burn the big-play suseptible Bruins.

Espn points out if we beat ucla there is a good chance at still making rose bowl because ucla beat asu. I will second mortgage my home to go to the pac 12 championship game and rose bowl!

Having Dres in our program is a credit to the coaching staff that can recruit a kid that is a guaranteed recruit for UCLA. To think that Utah beat them out while still being in the MWC.

Dres is a good kid and is an amazing receiver. He will be fun to watch the next few years.

GO UTES!

Hopefully Anderson and the rest of the Ute receivers will have a great game on Saturday....along with White IV.

I like our matchups in this game.

UCLA Scoring offense: 9th in conf.
Utah Scoring defense: 2nd in conf.

UCLA Total offense: 9th in conf.
Utah Total defense: 3rd in conf.

UCLA's strong point is rushing offense: 3rd in conf. @ 190 yards/game
Utah's strong point is rushing defense: 1st in conf. in ypc @ 2.9 ypc and 1st in rushing TDs allowed, allowing 5 all year and 95 yards/game

John White IV: 3rd in conf. in rushing with 114 yards/game and 2nd in conf. in rushing TDs with 10
UCLA Rushing defense: 11th in conf. @ 186 yards/game and 19 TDs allowed

UCLA passing offense: 11th in conf.
Utah pass efficiency defense: 2nd in conf. and 2nd in conf. in INTs at 12

Once again, the difference in the game will be turnovers for Utah.

Dres has been a great addition to this team. I'm excited to see how he progresses with the Utes - I think he will have a great future and has the ability to become one of Utah's top receivers.

This should be a good game this weekend. I like our chances if Utah can continue to take care of the ball and win the turn over battle.

It would be huge for this program to get a win against a team with a good record and momentum. I still can't believe how bad Arizona beat the Bruins. The PAC is good league top to bottom.

Go Utes!

While that would be awesome it's still a big longshot. If Utah wins out, there's a good chance that UCLA will lose at USC as well so they'd have the same record in conference as us and we'd beat them in tiebreaker.

ASU though has the tiebreaker over us, so we'd need them to lose an extra game to be sure, and that means they have to lose out. They could lose the rivalry game against Arizona, and possibly even lose to Cal, but Washington St. would have to play the game of their lives to upset ASU.

It is still possible though, and considering what the team has been through this season, being able to even have the conference championship game and even the Rose Bowl as a long shot makes being in a BCS conference pretty cool. :)

Lifelong Ute:

I wouldn't say a "good chance". ASU would have to lose a lot of games vs. a couple of the worst teams in the Pac-12 for that to happen. Our chances would best be described as "longshot pipe dream" for 2011. Best you don't get your hopes up, but rather look on the bright side: the Sun Bowl would be a GREAT bowl game to play our way into. 8-4 would be considered a successful season.

But we'll have to beat UCLA first.

GO UTES!!!
