*Senate Republicans likely to kill Obama jobs bill By Andrew Taylor AP Published by DSNews 10/11/11
Can I post ANYTHING on this news paper after 1pm?
Pagan,
if BO proposed a bill that would have burried in its 230,949,832 pages a call for the deportation of all gays, and BO called it a "jobs bill", you'd complain about the republicans blocking it.

Lost,
Glad to see your starting to understand...
Rebublicans block ANY legsilation. :)
Or is the 'deportation of gays' something that you would...support...?
@ lost: So, instead of wild shots in the dark, why don't you provide something from the jobs bill that is harmful?
To turn your statement back on you, Obama could propose a bill that could have buried in its 230,949,832 pages a call for banning same-sex marriage and call it an "anti-abortion bill", you'd complain about Obama proposing it.
Instead of rhetoric and hyperbole, come up with a fact - a real reason to block the jobs bill...
(Yes, I know that it will add to the deficit, especially in the short-term, but most economists agree this is necessary to get the economy flowing again. If you have a better alternative, by all means do share that along with your fact-based condemnation of the jobs bill.)
Pagan,
to answer your last quesion - no
Repubs block ANY legislation? I'm glad they are trying to stop BO's harmful agenda.
how about the two dozen jobs related bills the house has passed that are languishing in the dem-controlled senate? I guess the dems NEVER block ANY legislation.
Bubble,
$800 billion porkulus failed, prove to me why a $400 billion porkulus will succeed. The onus isn't on the opposition to prove why legislation is bad, it's on the proponents to prove why it's good. You yourself gave a reason why it's bad, and the failure of its predecessor argues against the reasons you say it's good.
You want alternatives - look at the two dozen jobs bills passed by the house that are languishing in the senate.
BTW, you say I oppose it just because BO proposed it, infering I oppose everything BO? No, last week I defended his housing proposal from a number of unfair attacks until I had use my alloted four comments; and I have said in the past some of his high-speed rail proposals are intriguing. I oppose BO on the majority of the issues, but not all.
