Utah in a laugher. Arizona' offense will be lucky to have 200 total yards

Is this Coach Kyles best coaching year? Probably not, but it must rank high.

Consider this: Going into the year we knew the defense would have a very good front seven but 2 new corners and several position changes. Offense - no running back with a division 1 carry. The offensive line lacked depth. Only 12 starters returning. First year in a BCS conference. The most difficult eleven game schedule ever.

So? After 8 conference games our defense is number one in the conference; eighteenth in the country! We have lost 4 games three to top 25 ranked teams. We defeated BYU (who was favored by 3 (?) points by the largest score differential in decades. We defeated Pittsburgh for the third straight time despite their nine national championships.

This has been accomplished despite losing 7 players with season ending injuries including the only quarterback who had taken a major college snap, several starters and several first line reserves.

Yet we could end up 8-4 overall and 5-4 conference . Outstanding!

Coach Kyle and his staff have done an incredible job this year to date.

I see that Arizona is favored. Look for Utah to blitz nearly every play as Az won't be running much.

@ Who am I sir, You are right on the money regarding your assessment of Coach Kyle's success this year. I'm a huge Cougar fan but I have no doubt that the Utes will go bowling with either a 7-5 or an 8-4 record. I think they can win the rest of their games because they are still hungry and their coaches know how to get the best out of them. That little running back they have is the real deal. I wouldn't count them out of the bowl picture this year for sure by any means. Coach K and Chow are both winners and their team's play despite losing their starting qb is showing it. And the pain of that 54-10 beat down they gave us still lingers, especially watching how they made our boys quit like they did.

Go Cougs! Go Utes!

"Coach Kyle and his staff have done an incredible job this year to date."

I have a "Quest for Las Vegas... again!" tee-shirt for you with matching pom poms.

Which one of these guys is responsible for not having a decent spare QB on the bench?

"Incredible!"

Sammy,
I think the Utes could ask the same question of the Y. I don't think there's any love in Cougar land for any of your QBs except for the ones who haven't played.

Arizona is favored. I do not like the match-ups in this game. Hopefully, the Utes can hold onto the ball, force some INTs from Foles and get the running game established. Otherwise, I worry about a Cal-redux.

Go Utes!

A team that has a worse record and is favored to beat the mighty uties. Imagine that. Everyone knows that the utes are the doormat of the conference and will be there with CU for many years. Enjoy giving all the money to your bigger brothers in the pac 12. Can't wait for Bball and see the sea of empty red seats and hear what the pac 12 has to say about it. They will be screaming..."Show me the money", and you won't have any to give them. Bring on the bake sales!

@dad

Reminds me of a Tina Turner song... "What's Love Got To Do With It"

Missed my point completely and what a ridiculous comment about the Cougar fans not 'loving' their QBs.

1-4 in your conference and it's your coaches fault for not having depth at the QB position. Your D2 QB has cost a game or two and maybe more, even post season.

Try as you might, our bench QB has already secured post season play. Who wouldn't 'love' that right now in Uteville?

Sammy-

Your bowl smack talk is so completely redundant, its not even worthy of a response. If Utah goes to the Vegas bowl, we will probably face TCU (MWC #2, because Boise State will probably go to a BCS game), which is another team that whooped up on BYU pretty bad.. So are you trying to compliment Utah on going to the Vegas bowl, because that game would feature a matchup of two teams that are far better than your own. Bad QB or not, they will still go to a better bowl and play a better team than your Cougs will when they play the C-USA #3 or whatever in the Armed jet plane cleaner bowl.
Can you please clarify what you are getting at Samwise?

LOL, now the Vegas bowl is a big time prestigious bowl only worthy of the greatest teams in the nation. When just a mere year ago it was the butt of every Ute slam against BYu for going once again to the Vegas bowl. Same Utesie logic just with a PAC logo now.

Don't underestimate Arizona. Their record is bad, but their schedule has been brutal. Nonetheless, Arizona has been able to throw the ball against very good teams ie Stanford, Oregon, Oklahoma State, Washington, and USC. Utah would be 0-5 against that group as well. I look for Arizona to put up lots of points against the Utes and Arizona's defense will feel like they got the day off playing against the inept Utah offense.

Chris B..
Way to curse your own team. AZ will have 500 yards and a 35 point win... Nice job Chris! There goes the toilet bowl..ha ha

jbkhbrmz and bballjunkie:

Yeah, we were really concerned by the hilarious predictions made by Y-ner trolls with Aggie-blue pom-poms. Take your cue from sam-not-so-wise; keep your smack irrelevant.
