Maybe this guy could figure out what happened to BYU's Big 12 invite.
It's rather unfortunate but the Wheatley Institute at BYU tends to bring only one kind of speaker into campus -- those heavily involved in warmaking and secret interventions overseas.
It'd be one thing if there were balance from those who voiced the other side of U.S. choices to make hegemonic manipulations overseas. And I recognize that certainly an individual organization on a college campus is entitled to their myopia, biases, and mistakes.
But the perception becomes that BYU -- and unfortunately by extension -- the LDS Church -- rubber stamps and even approves of the world view of these speakers. I'm active LDS and a fairly recent BYU grad and *I* certainly don't approve of the "neo-conservative" agenda that too many of these speakers seem to share. I think it's a shame.
