A delightful story to start one's day .... THANK YOU, Deseret News.
Amen! As an enthusiastic choral artist myself, I believe there is nothing so uplifting and sublime as singing from my heart in the midst of others singing from their hearts. No matter each person's musical abilities, the spirit fills in any gaps and lifts us all to a higher plane.
An idea for a future column:
Why do we men not sing in Sacrament Meeting (an admitted generalization)? During priesthood meetings they sing with gusto, and fill the chapel with their voices (it is amazing to hear). However, in so many of our meetings when we are with our wives/mothers/daughters one can barely hear the base or tenor parts.
I've always wondered. (It can't be because we are afraid we'll look uncool - I gave that up years ago with my daughters' first eyerolls.)
