Great kids! Great game! Great coaching! Loved it!
Great game played by both teams! Northridge is tough when they don't get in their own way with penalties and mistakes. Hats off to cottonwood who played a great game. I'm looking forward to the match up with the chase hansen show! It will be another offensive shootout, lets just hope this same Northridge team shows up and we will have a shot! I know some of you will doubt that but I truely believe it. Casteel, Schlicte, and Adams on Offense are a handful so it should be a good one to watch! And how bout the rest of region 1 stepping up big! 3-1, better then every other region in 5A. Not bad for a region who gets no love.
Northridge is a classy outfit. Congrats Coach Thompson, great win! Nice to see the "good guys" come out on top.
I knew there was a reason I loved watching Region 1 football. Great win with a ton of excitement. 2 great programs that could go deep into the play offs. Its unfortunate that 1 had to lose early. Hats off Colts, brilliant job, just came up a little short. Good luck NR, your task to continue just got a little harder. Lone Peak anybody?
I stand corrected, good job Knights I am proud you have Region 1 pride.
Didnt someone recently predict that the Colts would win going away, a long way? There is nothing like having a fresh serving of crow on a brisk autumn morning. :)
@ Cliff loved your comment! Priceless.
@Northridgefan5
haha Lets hope we meet up in the championship game, it would totally be awesome!!! haha and besides we need some revenge for you guys ruining our Homecoming game! haha :)
This was a great game and great article. I like the reference to fix bayonets. This was nicely woven into the article. This group of kids at Northridge has a great time together. They are creating some great memories while winning some games in the process. In addition to being a genius coach, Thompson is an incredible motivator. These kids love to play for him because they know he loves to coach them and cares for them. This is a special coaching staff and incredible group of young men. Even if their next hurdle ends up being a bit too much, their experiences together are priceless. If there is anyone in the state that can knock off the most talented team (Lone Peak), it is one of the most unified teams (Northridge).
