State Health Officer Donald Williamson, a physician, said tougher rules aimed at
saving the state money by limiting services to immigrants No, no one
is trying to limit services to immigrants, just to prevent ILLEGAL immigrants
from abusing our systems there is a difference between LEGAL and ILLEGAL.The Congressional Budget Office said the federal government provided
states with $750 million over three years ending in 2008 to pay hospitals for
emergency health care for illegal immigrants, Who says they dont cost us
@lost in DC and what risk do you think refusing to face the public health
threat of not providing services is going to cost? there is always a trade off,
you push in one place it has a reaction somewhere else. Actions have
consequences even when you are totally convinced you are doing the right thing.
I'm not sure I'm seeing a problem with this. Legal immigrants and citizens
shouldn't be paying for medical care for illegal aliens. The less illegals using
and abusing the health care system the better. We need to remove all reasons
(work, health care, etc) that illegals have to come here.
