National Volleyball Tournament
Warren Van Schalkwyk is part of the Utah Valley 40s men's volleyball team competing for a title in the USA Volleyball National Championships held this weekend at the Salt Palace. The team defeated another Utah team in its first game Friday, Sweet Yams, 25-19, 25-22, to earn a bye for the first round of the double elimination bracket that will determine the over-40 champion.

Last week Lehi was actually 0-2 losing to PG in four games and Lone Peak in three. This caused a three-way tie for first. Lehi did get the #1 seed, PG #2 and Lone Peak #3. Incidentally, PG and Davis are likely to play in the quarterfinals and Lone Peak might be their semi-final opponent. Lehi is in the same side of the bracket as Taylorsville and would likely meet Fremont in the quarterfinals.
Morgan did take 3A and beat LP in a classic five set match in Morgan last week.
