Of course, this is from the candidate whose campaign supporter voice such tolerance and kindness to Mormons. Nice try, but I have a lot of trouble finding the abuse of which Mr. Perry's wife is referring. Most came because he took front runner position and his record and comments exposed positions on issues that voters do not like. But, a victim of religious intolerance really?
I so agree with you Hellooo :) Kind of the pot calling the kettle black. But honesty, I would not condone others going after his religion any more then his going after the Mormons. If Obama were 50% Muslum, and people found fault with that, I would not condone that.
I don't remember stories about Perry's religion... I do remember a lot (especially on Maddow's show) about some of the pastors he invited to his prayer meeting thing and of course there's this recent flareup over Jeffress but I have a hard time thinking of anything about Perry's own reigion.
Considering that "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints" (commonly called Mormon) is about the 4th largest church in the United States, I would assume that Perry may have offended a large portion of the voters in the U.S.A.
I was favorable toward Perry for his day of Prayer, until his attempt to 'put down Romney', then, that made my decision for me. Now I am Romney all the way! He is a good man, and has raised a good family and this is something I admire very much!
Perry must have thought all the competitors would melt away when he flashed his oil money stash. It's a tough old business, pal. Just ask Bob Bennett.
