Jody, I think you are forgetting one thing, the reason why it's not so stressed by Coach Whitt (not saying it isn't to x degree):
Good teams FORCE turnovers.
At the level of play in the PAC, the margin of error is small. The teams are more talented and physical than any conference the Utes have played in before. Turnovers should NEVER be an excuse for a loss.
Wittingham is a good coach and if he believes they should not focus too much time on turnovers, then I guess I trust his opinion. But If we have any more five turnover games I may change my mind.

conversely bad teams in over their heads overextend themselves and cough up the ball way more easily then teams who are evenly matched.
I guess Cal forgot that turnovers should never be an excuse for a loss tonight. That statement is patently false and we all know it.
