A big problem with Salt Lake City downtown is very little retail at the ground
level. The city creek development is supposed to remedy this for a small portion
of the city, but the problem remains for the rest of the city.Another problem is parking is very hard to find. I've been to other cities
they don't try to make them walkable by making it difficult to park cars, they
make it walkable to putting retail at the ground level, also by making some
roads walk only roads with shops all along that road.Salt Lake City
is proud of its wide streets, and street numbering system. Beyond that though it
is poorly planned and built up.
