a bunch of millionaires fighting with Billionaires. I have not sympathy for any of them. I hope the season is a wash and they all lose their butts. Then, maybe they can all come back to reality and move on.

I find that these days I'm more of a Jazz fan than an NBA fan. I'm curious to see our recent draft picks in action, but I couldn't care less about the rest of the league right now.

Admittedly, they're losing me, and I'm not even feeling the loss. When does "The Walking Dead" start?

I suspect many of us will find that we don't miss the NBA as bad as we thought we might.

Many will be slow to return once this is settled.

When the players and owners have to work 2 full time jobs just to make ends meet then I might have some sympathy. As far as I'm concered this is all about greed. Each one of those players and owners make more then enough money to live very comfortably for a long, long, time. They should put that money they are arguing over to good use. Maybe donate it to charity, or help individuals who are struggling due to unemployment, which they are cause more of by the way. Or maybe give the money to the government to lower the deficet. Either way, enough with the nonsense. Get a deal done and get back to playing basketball. That is the only thing any true NBA fan cares about anyway.

Why not each give into the others demands and use those savings to lower ticket prices.

I think this is a great thing! Call it the NBA giving back.

In these tough times where money is tight, the NBA is saving the American public millions of dollars they would have otherwise wasted at NBA games. Advertisers will also save money, which they can put to better use in creating jobs instead of advertising at basketball games (and during televised games). Not to mention the millions of hours of productivity usually lost to watching, reading about, and discussing the NBA that will be saved this year.

The NBA really understands the current economic situation, and I, for one, appreciate them giving back in these difficult times. Their plan for helping America is clearly better than any of the Presidential candidates, and I applaud them for their forward thinking approach.

Does anyone even care if the NBA is cancelled for the year?

I like the Jazz, but this is going to be a rebuilding year. So, I really don't care if they cancelled the whole season.

I hope the entire season get canclled. I hve noe sympathy for any of the players. They are grossly over paid and should tke at least a 50 percent pay cut. Players like Kobe, Lebron and Wade do not deserve the salaries thye receive. Their egos for outdo their talent. I hope the owners stand firm and don;t give the player anything they want. Kobr and other players of his ilk can stay overseas, good riddance to bad rubish. As much as I like basketball Ican no longer afford to go to a game. When the Jazz first moved to Utah I could afford courtside seat but not now, I can;t even afford the cheap seats.

I really don't care if the NBA is cancelled this year. In fact, the last several years I have lost interest in the NBA and their spoiled babies! They are money grubbers is all. It is interesting to se the millionaire versus Billionaire thing going on now in the world. Not just NBA. My Nephew lost an account in Southern California that he had worked months on. Thought he had a good presentation and all but after all said and done they said thanks but no thanks. He asked them why, Their answer, well, we received 6 proposals. Yours was very good, but the other 5 proposals were from companies that were in the billions, yours was just in the millions. Now days, Millionaires to business with Millionaires and we Billionaires do business with Billionaires. That is just the way it is. Can you believe this? Besides, If I want to see
good basketball that is played by good amateurs called young college kids, I'll Watch Utah State Aggie basketball....it is 10 times more worth the price of their tickets and played harder by the players. Go Aggies Go Stew, in Stew we Trust! NBA no Trust!

As a Jazz fan, I've been looking forward to seeing how our young and talented team puts their skills together.

But the Utah Jazz, just like the other teams in the league, have locked their doors. Meanwhile, the players want most of the money and none of the risk.

It turns out it has NEVER been about the fans. We're not even at the discussion table. We're at the kids table in the other room. I'm sure we'll soon hear the owners say it's all about the fans, and I'm sure we'll hear the players say it's all about the fans--but remember this--months of poorly handled negotiations accomplishing absolutely nothing. The negotiations are all about money, NOT the fans.

The owners are businessmen. They lost a ton of money last year and without concessions from the players they will continue to lose money. Any business that continually loses money will go bankrupt.

Where is the real value in Basketball? It's in the players and the arenas. Nobody pays to see the owners play ball (unless it is a comedy).

Hey, why don't they just work for a living and play ball for fun?

I feel it is a shame some players cannot live off a paultry $5 mil or $10 Mil and want more.

I say take the $80 million they can't seem to bridge and give it back to the fans......I could use the money to buy some March Madness Tickets, screw the NBA!

I love the Jazz, but I haven't missed them...yet.

I hope the owners get an agreement that allows all teams in the league to compete, evenly, for a championship

I say we all go on strike and not watch them if and or when they do settle the battle of the rich and famous. From the posts looks like most of us are not too worried anyway. I say let them go to other countries and stay. What we all would do with 1 million $$$. I am betting it would not be to buy exotic cars and things. I would pay off my house and help others and save for a rainy day and or retirement. Truthfully I really hope it starts to hurt both the owners and the players. I know it does not hurt me. I guess there are those that are affected that work at the stadiums etc. Those I do feel sorry for. Us average people in TV land. Let the strike continue. Greed will win.

College ball is better anyway as they play to win not to get a pay check.

As this entire economic situation is very tight and sensitive, I suggest that the players make sure they have all their information complete and correct. Then be exceedingly wise but tough as barbed wire. They need to fight very smart and hard for a fair share of the income. The owners believe that every penny of income is due to their efforts only and it is not. But greed has set into most Americans minds at the present. Go and do the best bargaining the players can do.

I think the players are getting really bad advice. They don't have the leverage they think they have. They are the most spoiled and highest paid athletes in the world, yet right now they are holding out for small potatoes.

I am a season ticket holder and I am on the side of the owners. I don't know of any business where the employees get more than 50% of the revenue. I would like to see the owners win this fight and pass some of the savings on to the fans. This probably won't happen, but at least this will make the small market teams have a chance to be viable businesses in the black. Small market teams like the Jazz are not going to survive if the players get what they want.

I really don't care any more. I have considered myself a die-hard Jazz fan; but, with the loss of Stockton, Malone, Sloan, and Miller, things are no longer the same.

I say that any "NBA" player that refuses to play for less should be exiled from the league. They can get the next level of players and charge $5 per ticket so we can get back to basketball. In this economy, nobody wants to see them wear their $5,000 suits and their $25,000 watches driving their $150,000 cars. I have NO TOLERANCE for this arrogance any longer!!!

NFL now and NHL later, I won't miss this game of floppers. The flopping is so bad in the NBA now you might as well watch soccer.
