Having served a mission in the bible belt (Missouri, Kansas, Texas), I would say that BYU stands about as much chance of getting voted into the Big 12, as Mitt Romney has of getting the "evangelical" vote for the GOP nomination. Regardless of whether Missouri leaves and more "openings" are created in the Big 12, bible belt bias would exclude BYU, even if BYU on paper, should be preferred to other candidate schools.
BYU fan is probably right, funny how fast TCU dumped the Big East. Oh well...
Smart move for TCU and the BIG 12. I'm not worried at all about BYU. They will end in a good place when the dust has settled in a year or 3.
Rumor has it that BYU turned down Big 12, due to the fact that they did not want BYU to have byutv and its own rights.
TCU is worthy of the Big 12. Good football, low academics... BYU should mirror Notre Dame and the teams of the Big 10, with academic and research excellence, classy fans and hard hitting football on the field. We have a ways to go on all points...
