So much for stepping up your game. That hurt!
Oh well...thought I'd watch them today and cheer them on. Guess not.
Salemite,Just like last week, I'll be watching the Utes on FSN in glorious
HD at 3:30pm Eastern. (Funny, I couldn't find any other Utah-based teams on the
HD schedule today...)
I don't think the Utes are on television because they play in a "cute
little stadium," and they are the small fish in the big pond. Its sad
though, because they have been fun to watch up till this year. Its
cold, may storm (they need it) and they have a strong team coming to town.
Naturally Chris B. has called for a Ute victory and a BYU loss. I would prefer
a victory for BOTH teams. Each Ute loss is pretty embarrassing for my favorite
team who rolled over to the Utes. Its as if they are doing that on purpose.
They need to come out inspired and beat the Sun Devils.Go Utah!Go BYU!
Anybody know what TV station the Utes are on?
I blame Whittingham's arrogance for Utah's QB problems. He pinned Utah's success
this year entirely on a frail, injury-prone QB who was still recovering from
For an article on Tulane being considered for the Big 12, there is a picture of
a Tulane fan holding a sign that says "Rise Up".Someone
should tell Tulane fans that "Rise Up" is a Cougar curse... it would
explain their losing seasons.
These are the kinds of games that can define a season, and a program in general.
We're behind you guys. Go Utes!!
"Rise Up" is a copyrighted trademark of the BYU Cougars. Any use of
the phrase without the express written consent of Bronco Mendenhall, Riley
Nelson, and the Cougar Club is prohibited.
Oh my, the hypocrisy of some. To criticize someone for commenting on the rivals
story when they themselves have posted negativism on BYU articles. Yeah, it
would be a different game if BYU and Utah played again. Would Utah win,
probably but not by more than a touchdown. Enjoy the 54-10. It will be the
ONLY thing you have to sustain you through the season.
TX, how about your backup QB vs. our backup D for an entire game? I think we
only outscored you 7-0 in that scenario for the limited amount of time on
9/17.Thanks for the well-wishes. Just like Rex Ryan on Sean Ellis, I
can't say I wish the Cougs success, but I wish them health, and wish the fans
with endurance and longsuffering. If you start stacking your schedule with as
tough of teams as half your fans say you're gonna have within the next few
years, you're gonna need it.
Mid Major Forever:"Thanks for your continued obsession with
Utah Ute athletics."----Hidden above there is a
contradiction. Can you figure out where it is?
CougFaninTX:Do you really think byu introduced the term "Rise
Up"? Tell that to ESPN, Cypress Hill, R. Kelly and many others! Cougar
fans never cease to amaze me!On the rematch, do you really think
changing QBs would reverse a 44 point pounding? White is still a Ute and we
still have the same defense.FYI, while Nelson is a good QB, Heaps is
better. Nelson will now play against a bunch of patsy teams and make cougar
fans wish they could have started the season with him as the starter. Thanks for your continued obsession with Utah Ute athletics.Go
Maybe Whit should print some t-shirts with his new slogan, "Rise Up"
on them. Very original. He's still a Cougar at heart. This has to
be Whit's worst case scenario - playing the team that is favored to win the S.
Division with a QB who is questionable at best.Good luck on
Saturday.Hey, I have an idea. How about a rematch between the Cougs
and the Utes and we'll both play our back-up QB's? Nelson vs Hays? Deal?
