This is great news! Having Bergstrom back will make a big difference in giving Hays time to figure things out.
I wish every football alive had the attitude of this young man. Even if he does not play at the next level his determination will allow him to be successful at anything he does in life. Tony, you are a true roll model others can look up to. Must be the high school you went to. (hint, I went there too)
I hope he isn't coming back too soon...yes I'd like to see him playing against ASU, but not at the expense of the rest of the season and maybe even the expense of his own NFL career.
I'm so happy for him that it wasn't a season ending injury. I'm hopeful that he will be able to play saturday because I know we can really use him on the O line. I'm also worried like the above poster that he may be coming back too soon. Bergstrom is a very talented player and I think he has a shot of playing at the next level.
I hope for the best.
Go Utes!
I agree that he may be coming back too soon. Unfortunately, there is an inordinate amount of pressure on the Utes this week and this might be forcing Bergstrom into action sooner than he normally would come back.
Utah will be missing D1 talent at the most important position on the field. Hopefully, other positions play extraordinary games and the Utes get all the right bounces and the colder weather bothers the Sun Devils. Otherwise, it is going to be a looooong day.
I get the feeling that if ASU jumps to a big lead they are not going to let off the gas, especially since many pundits picked the Utes over the Sun Devils in the preseason and both teams go after a lot of the same recruits.
Color me crazy, but I'm nervous........
Bergie, welcome back, you are an amazing asset to the U team. Thanks for being such great role-model for the younger players, including my Son, Daniel. Can't wait to see you on the field again, cuz' you are a joy to watch!
Take it easy though in the start cuz' you got a loooooooong football career ahead of you, and we don't want you to blow it!
Go UTES!!!
