Wow. There's some revisionist history. The Church itself makes it nearly impossible to become a military chaplain. No Master's Degree from BYU, rejected. Ever been divorced, rejected. I could go on and on about this. The Church's military advisory board is so stringent and BYU-centric that very few applicants are ever accepted into the Chapain Corps.
