I said it in prior post, loosing to Wash, ASU, Pit and Cal. Had the score of the
Wash game, just bad feeling about all this. I look at the schedule of Utah vrs
Colo, the Buffalos play OU, Stan and top teams. The schedule looks like it was
prepared to give the u an advantage, not working out. I try to defend this to
freinds, loosing defenses. Help me.
Glad to see the redheaded little step brothers are out; news flash Y fans your
team looked silly/DII against Utah so you knocking on the Utes shows your
intellect in a not so flattering way. Maybe the WAC is where your team belongs
as that is where they got most of their wins and had your their glory days and a
middle of the WAC team took your team to the limit last weekend. Isn't there
another fantasy piece on the D news about BYU actually getting to a AQ
conference you can all go drool over?
@kosta fesenko aka "duckhunter hunter", "officer coolguy,
"articuno BYU" and of course "hondo". That was the screen
name I'd forgotten. You used to list that screen name as being from Springville
but you forgot to change it this time when you went from "duckhunter
hunter" to "hondo".LOL!Pathetic
@NewJerseyperhaps, but not as bad as the ESPN folks who have now
watched BYU get 1) blown out by a mid-level BCS team. and 2) barely beat some
cupcakes. Numbers are plummeting.
Looks like the PAC and RoseBowl committees are experiencing a bit of buyer's
Christy,You assumed the 54-10 score vs. BYU game made Utahs season. It
didn't, and won't even though it was comical to watch. But it does define BYU
and Utah in that as bad a Utah got beat by Washington, look what they did to BYU
the very game before in Provo. So maybe its a good thing BYU is NOT INVITED.
Utah is very pleased to be playing where and who they are, despite the growing
pains. I hope the same for BYU.
Did the Utes score from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm?BTW.........it was
appropriate that UW scored on the first play of the game off a turnover. Sound
Zoniezoobie -Yeah, you normally cheer for the Mild Rats.
@Christy if ASU ends our season (a bit dramatic, dont you think?)
how does that make BYU look? Always remember to think before you speak!@TJ Whats your point?
I normally don't cheer for the sun dummies...
Kosta,Take is like you dished it out. Utah got out-played and just plain
diddn't have it in the second half. They shot themselves in the foot multiple
times. Very similar to the BYU - Utah game. I wonder if any fast food places in
SLC are offering free turnovers for a Ute ticket stub.
Kosta Fesenko I love the thin-skinned Utah fans who who are always
so good at dishing it, but can't take it. Instead of acting like 54-10 made your
season, you should be worried about ASU ending your season.
No worries, there'e next week to put the hurt on...can't wait! Go Utes!!
I think I saw this same game two weekends previous in Provo. There is
something to be said about momentum in sports - college athletics especially -
and when you start a game by spotting a team a touchdown because of a mistake,
it's hard to get the train going in the right direction.Utah, like BYU,
can salvage the season but I suspect all victories will be tightly fought,
especially if an opposing defense can key in on one aspect of the offense.
I love the cougars piling on. Give me a break. 54-10 boys. 54-10. Why don't
you quit trolling and head back to your articles to discuss which person will
have the opportunity to lead BYU to a 4 point victory over San Jose State?
Well the U of U and Kyle found out. What goes around is likely to
come around.Shoot, if the game had been ten minutes longer the Utes
could have reached seven turnovers too.
Karma. Great adjustments by Sark and staff at halftime. They thoroughly
out-prepared and out-coached the home team. Good thing they pulled
back on the reigns in the 3rd quarter or this would've been truly embarrassing.
If it took two weeks to prepare for an average PAC 12 opponent, it is going to
be a rough go in the new conference!
Very interesting final statement/statistic from the article.Since
beating Alabama in the 2009 Sugar Bowl, Utah is just 1-4 against teams in the
Associated Press Top 25. The lone win was a 27-24 overtime victory over No. 15
Pittsburgh last season at Rice-Eccles Stadium.
"Just like a video game!" They lost.
Another first: It was reported that the games radio announcers, on their
post-game analysis, said that "the best team did not win today." Say
what? Normally you expect some over-the-top comments and support by the
announcers who play to their audience to keep their jobs, but some objectivity
is in order. Bill Marcroft and Paul James were at least professional enough to
admit when the home team didn't play well. But a statement like that after a 31
- 14 drubbing? Talk about denial!
