Here is the Good and Bad from a Cougars point of view:

The Good. I can only hope you fall in behind Washington State and lose more games than you win. You asked for it - you got it and now all the talk has to be backed up.

The Bad. I still remain honestly jealous that you have the chance to get beat up in the Pac 12, knowing that in some glorious season - somewhere and someday U will sparkle a little brighter than ever before. In that moment I hope you will represent the State and its people better than you have in the past.

For now U carry the states banner - please represent us all well. Have class, integrity and remember who you really are. While I can never root for U, I can hope that when success comes your way that your handle it with the dignity that matches your origins.

PS - I bet three years until the liberal folks in No Cal force you to drop the Ute mascot for something like a bush or a weed or a ski pole.

Good luck.

Mostly.

My daughter went to the Montana State game at Rice-Eccles - her first time in that stadium. She was embarrassed and mortified by what she saw and heard. So, now that you are in your conference run: Please behave! Be kind. Be clean. Cups are for drinking - - - OK?

byu joe- Wow. You "can only hope (we) fall in behind Washington State and lose more games than you win."

And then you tell us to "please represent us all well. Have class, integrity and remember who you really are."

That's pathetic.

Your heartfelt wishes to the University of Utah will have absolutely no effect on the outcome of a game or the overall success of the season. The byu game on September 17th must have been exceptionally painful for you.

Also, I'm sorry that Utah's tremendous success has caused you so much pain. Well...I'm mostly sorry.

btw...I'll take your bet.

Can fans of other teams please stop policing us Ute fans? There are always going to be good and bad stories for all fan bases. Most people I have talked to have had a good experience at Rice-Eccles. I have had good and bad experiences and most every stadium I have been, and that includes Lavell Edwards.

BYU Joe, your good and bad statements were pretty funny, and about the most honest evaluation I've seen.

"Can fans of other teams please stop policing us Ute fans?"

Clearly, you have not yet learned that policing others is part of the byu culture.

Also, BYU Joe's comments are indicative of a troubled individual whose self esteem is dependent on the failure of others. Thus, his comments are not funny as you suggest nor are they honest (unless it is considered and honest reflection of the poster)...the comments are simply sad.

"My daughter went to the Montana State game at Rice-Eccles - her first time in that stadium."

-----------

It is highly unlikely that anyone going to their "first" game @RES will pay scalper tickets for Montana State since the game was sold-out.

If you're going to talk smack try do to some research.

@Joe
New Rule:

BYU fans cannot tell Ute fans to "back the talk" when all the talk in August from BYU was 11-1 to BCS, 12-0 to NC and then getting spanked at home 54-10.

Uteology:

Correct you are about Salemite's daughter and the scalped MSU tickets.

You'd think that for all the frantic and emotional cougar folklore about all the "horrors" exhibited at RES, it's a wonder that people like Salemite's daughter would ever WANT to go to one of the games. I studied at the U for 3 yrs, and aside from the occasional Ute loss, NEVER had I EVER had any bad experiences there.

People...if you REALLY believe in all the debauchery that cougar fans like to pretend is commonplace at RES, don't go to the games! It's THAT simple! You can watch the Washington game in the safety of your own home. Well, assuming you have a "panic room" with cable TV; at which point, you could tune in on FSN.

@naval lint

Why would any of us even want to watch a utah game at all? The only reason I ever watch any of them is if they play BYU. I do catch peices here or there but I sure don't make a point of watching one. And of course you "never had any bad experiences there" you are a utah "fan". You were undoubtedly a gleeful participant in the debauchery and classless behavior. You exibit it here constantly so I'm sure going along with the rest of the drunk and classless crowd at the stadium is just standard stuff.

For someone who claims to have no interest in Utah football you sure do post a lot on Utah articles. Obsessed much? LOL

Awh, it's Duck again telling us he doesnt care about Utah football, again, and again and again. Sure, that's what people don't have an interest in something do.

Maybe you can instead troll your new chief in state rival as USU and BYU are on the same level now with USU rising and Utah beating your team silly. We only hope you practice what you preach about not caring.
