Even a Texas governor cannot please the radical tea party people.

If memory serves, another Texan in the White House got 40% of the Hispanic vote in 2000 and 44% in 2004.
And Perry would get about the same amount of amnesty traction as GWB received.
NCLR, LULAC and MALDEF have turned the brown voter into a single-issue voter.
That is so wrong! Latinos care about jobs and schools and crime and corruption in government and taxes and the deficit as much as other Americans.
Let's hope Perry is not the one because he's playing the same game.
For the record, Perry's stance does not square with the national GOP platform.
Who does he really represent?

I don't think it is a matter of race.. at least not for me. I think the problem with the Latino/Mexican problem is that we hear of more illegals coming over the borders illegally then other nationalities. They also seem more determined to not mesh with the rest of the "American" culture and become part of the "Melting Pot" that we have always been known of .. but they want to recreate Mexico here and remain Mexican and have little desire to become Americans. They take our land, bring drugs and gang members they take our jobs at a time when so many are out of work and allow people to pay so cheaply that our people cannot feed their families on the pay they give, our children's futures by stealing their identity, our medical privileges to the point where some institutions have had to shut their doors, and the list goes on.......
They are using us! plain and simple!!! and then laugh in our faces by continuing their illegal activities and bringing in their friend and families to join them. That is what people are so upset about.. NOT the nationality and race.

If Perry can 'woo' the hispanic vote...

he will loose his conservative vote.

And the Republican record on immigration has never had compassion.
