The coach looks annoyed in all of these photos. I guess he's tired of the articles about speculation. Haha.
I wonder what happens if you ask Holme or Samuelson the same question? The left hand doesn't know what the right is doing? If they do nothing there will be no invite and we will all complain about religion discrimination again.
You better get cracken' guys. Getter done!
So here's a fair thought: with BYU, the conference, Texas, Oklahoma, ESPN and the conference's network contract all PERHAPS trying to negotiate in there own best interest, MAYBE everybody IS doing something and it's all being done in secret so it seems like there is a whole lot of nuthin' going on.
Or maybe all the negotiating is going on with Notre Dame. I can live with that.
BYU will probably stay independent. If they join the Big 12 it will be in football only, with their olympic sports staying in the WCC.
That's great to hear about Putnam... I thought I saw him standing with the team for the UCF game. Redemption stories (i.e. Davies, Putnam) are underrated, it's so great to see these young men working so hard off the field as well as on. Go Cougs!
Y Dad / Y Grad - BYU does everything in secret. I'm not guaranteeing that they'll join the conference but, agree there is too much smoke for at least discussions to not be taking place.
Think of the temple bro. How many of ordinances inside the temple are discussed on the outside? Sure, every now and then there is a leak but, BYU sports are handled in much the same fashion.
won84 that is a terrible comparision. Really comparing temple ordinances with football, horrible.
I think if BYU joins it will be for all sports, not just for football. Basketball will be a lot easier for the Big 12 to plan around if there are an even number of teams in the league (10).
But with Missouri possibly leaving to the SEC and other candidates for the Big 12, a lot of possibilities exist.
Be patient. Things are going on behind the scenes and the people who know something are definitely not talking. I have good feeling that things are being hashed out now and within a couple weeks we may know what's going on.
"BYU does everything in secret."
Sure, tell that to Davies.
btw...the rest of your post is way out of line.
The reason they are not talking is their are too many no-it alls that twist and misconstrue any thing they might say or do.They will do what is best for the University --- some will agree and some will disagree and I will do my best to support their decision.

Besides announcing Davies' suspension for an Honor Code violation and his return to full eligibility, everything BYU did regarding Davies was done in secret.
@pac12proud
As usual you chime in with nothing of worth.
Stop asking Bronco these questions.
You're making him lose focus for the next fireside.
There are no secrets in the big conferences. It is called getting leverage. If we don't hear anything it's because Holme wants it so quiet he can hear if the phone rings.
Razzle2: That was funny. But I do not agree with you. Holmoe knows what is going on. He is just not letting on right now. Whan stuff happens, then he will call a press conference and we will all know.
If Holmoe calls a press conference, than we will all know that something significant is happening. However, another team, or a league will leak it out first anyway, so it will not be a surprise. The media will want to show their knowledge of all things sports, so all will know before Holmoe has a chance to announce it in the press conference. It would be nice if for a change nothing is leaked and it gets to come from him first.
