Good for both of you! Glad you could each get past being defensive on the one side and holding a grudge on the other. It's refreshing to see examples of this especially in our sue-prone society. Thanks guys, and wish the best to you both.

Midgets?

How offensive!

BTW, I'm not offended. Just making my point that if you look for reasons to be offended then you can usually find them. Our whole society is hyper sensitive about words. It is time to lighten up!!

We need to learn to enjoy life more. I keep hearing about these other great countries that are just not wound as tight as Americans. Let's learn how to love life and help everyone get off their medications.

Midgets? Even though I am very short I am not offended by that either, but this guy who is sensitive about his weight should be sensitive about others who are vertically challanged. And yes people do need to lighten up. My guess is when he sees that in this article he will wish he didn't say that. Nice article and hopefully we will all learn something from it.

You were wrong people will use skinny as an insult! and they do, we are just being hit with the PC group which is larger (pun intended) there just are more heavy people in the US.
I am surprised that no one made a wise crack about him being a lawyer yet, or maybe they did and the morning moderator who tends to take out all comments has axed them already.

I'm glad to see the writer of this article noticed he had the potential to anger a lot of people with his comment. Maybe if people started treating others the way they want to be treated, instead of ridiculing someone else to build themselves up, maybe society would be better off. And as to Lonnie being a lawyer, I know him personally. He's a good man, one of the better lawyers I know.

I don't think that he was being insensitive toward people who are vertically challenged, nor do I think that they would be offended by his comment. Notice how they weren't grouped together with being loud, profane, and cocky. I think this is a great article that demonstrates that people care not only about themselves, but about others as well.
