I have said that you need input on your rankings. Olympus not 4 or 5. Lucky if you had seen or heard anything about their games. Hillcrest 4 Oly 0. Check that ranking now move Bonneville in, at least their at the top of their region.
Brighton is over ranked. Lehi is probably under ranked, beat PG last night. At the LP tournament the final results were
1. PG
2. LP
3. Lehi (Lehi did beat Snow Canyon in pool play)
3. Snow Canyon
T-ville/Davis both did better than Brighton, I also think Bingham beat Brighton as well...
eagle. Any ranking (at this point in time) is somewhat subjective, however, where have you been the past couple of months? Regarding Region 4 (for example), Riverton and Lone Peak are running away there. They have both been ranked in the top 5 (recently, for good reason), and both have lost to Brighton (this season). And regarding Bingham; they have had a difficult season with no wins. One of their losses (earlier in the preseason) came by way of Brighton (score: 7-1).
There are a number of very good teams in 5A. The field is wide open, with the State Playoffs "just around the corner." It is whoever is ready to play on any given day. And, the proof in the pudding is actually how well they really do in the playoffs.
Rankings can make (some) teams feel good, but if they do get ranked they should be prepared every game for the competition they will face next.
eagle. If you were referring to volleyball (instead of soccer), I do apologize. Still, however, remember these rankings are subjective. It is extremely difficult to place any (and all) teams in appropriate order due to a variety of reasons - as you are aware.
Anyway, please accept my "misreading" of your comment and good luck to whatever team that you support! Eventually, all will be placed in appropriate order by virtue of the playoffs.

I believe eagle is talking about volleyball not soccer.
gb 13: I am talking about the VOLLEYBALL rankings, not soccer...
All forgiven gb13: and yes rankings are dicey and ultimately all is decided on the court or field, but if one is going to try to do these type of things, having the correct information or access to information is helpful...
Layton goes from #3 in state to 4th in region in one week, what in the world is wrong at Layton? We expected a good match but talk about a drop off, thanks Layton.
Hey game on, how 'bout we don't put down any girls. Please keep any demeaning responses to high school girls off the web. Thanks
I agree with Plebius on one thing.. It may be time for Olympus to move out of the top 5. They are a strong team and have had some big wins, but they aren't consistent enough to be ranked. However, Bonneville is in an easy region and haven't fully proved they're deserving of a top ranking either.
i feel that grand should be up in the rankings for soccer. they beat manti 5-1, but everything is decided on the field
