At some point a team has to win. Bad teams seem to always find a way to loose, we will see which team is hungry on Friday.

I am thinking that the BYU defense will hold USU to under 20 pts Friday. If BYU can run the ball consistently(125+ yds), it will open their pass game up and they should win this game by 10+ pts unless Heaps has a less than average game. Home field should be a big advantage in this game. I hope both teams play well.

I don't think the answer is the team needs to finish stronger anymore. This has certainly been case for many years. But, this team really fights right to the end. We saw it with an impressive drive to take a late 10 point lead at Auburn, and fumble recovery and TD to take a late 8 point lead against CSU. The problem hasn't been effort, but, focus on special teams. It was obvious to all of us around me in the stands Sat. night that we should just get out of the way of that punt and let CSU ground it. If that happens, GAME OVER, and USU wins 21-13. Instead, we try to field it!!! The coaches should have made sure that the players were focussed on that play and got out of the way. The same is true of the On Side kick at Auburn. We put our best players on the front line to field the ball, but, forgot about the importance of blocking. If someone at least touches that Auburn player - GAME OVER again. The Aggies could have easily been 3-0 right now. We have got to bring discipline to Special Teams!!

Focus and execution for 60 minutes of play till the game ends is critical, the Aggies should be 3-0 now, half way to bowl eligibility. The Aggies had both the Auburn and Co St games won, then gave it away through lack of focus and execution. The Aggies gave gifts to Auburn and Co St, a gift of victory after they were defeated, what expensive gifts that should not have been given. The game is 60 minutes, the last minute should be as focused as the first.

This is a better team in my mind no doubt about it. On paper they are just statisitcally better and more exciting to watch. We have better recruits. I can remember watching Aggie games just being bored out of my mind, that hasn't been happening lately. So I'll disagree with anyone that says there aren't improvements being made.

What I htink the Aggies are still missing is the mentality of a winning program. At this point I think the coaches are still searching how to make it happen Yes, there is still work to be on special teams, defense, etc. but overall I think that there is still a bit of a losing culture surrounding this program that the players and coaches just haven't been able to shake off.

Aggies need to learn HOW TO WIN. They play well, they should be 3-0, but they don't have a WILL TO WIN. They need to will themselves to win by focusing on every play to the final whistle, instead of thinking about the celebration they are about to engage in. Win, and act like you were supposed to. After you beat BYU on Friday, "walk" off the field and act as though the win was entirely expected. Act like you have been in the winners circle before !!

Quite frankly, I think Friday's game against USU will be tough.

The Aggies are hungry and our defense gave us BIG chunks of yards against UCF and our offense is still sputtering.

I think we'll win but I think it's going to be very close.

Kraig, Poor choice of words. BYU owns the "Don't stop believing" rally cry. :)
