When I joined the LDS Church at 15, Young Women's was about looking inward and forward to who I would be someday. Once I joined the Relief Society, my focus was drawn outward - to the sisters around me, to my community, to my family, and to my Father in Heaven. The more I participate in Relief Society, the more I am amazed at the sisters around me - their generosity, intelligence, uniqueness, love, and purpose. I am more aware of the importance of serving in my community and being involved in uplifting activities. I am better armed to bless and strengthen my family and others. And I am more deeply connected to my Father in Heaven and constantly learning how to follow and learn of Him. Although this new book is currently packed away (we're moving to another state), I am looking forward to pulling it out and diving into my heritage as a Relief Society sister!
