I think it is funny these players believe playing overseas is some kind of threat. The reality is that most of the league will get no offer over seas. The ones that do are getting a fraction of what they get here. Kobe 6 million? That is what a mid-level scrub in the NBA gets.
When late fall rolls around and the checks are not coming on and all the posse's start screaming in the players ears that "times are tough" the union will start cracking.
Owners were a victim of their own system...and it is a mess.
AK? Over $17 million/year? And not a thing the Jazz could do about it.
That pretty much sums it up.
Its broken and it has to be fixed..it is no wonder the players are displaying solidarity and want to keep all the things that broke it in the first place. They are all slanted in the players favor.
Hopefully the owners get the reforms they need to get some actual competition in the league so we don't have to watch the same 4-6 teams at the end of the playoffs every year.
Too predictable.
Haha 3 of Denver's players have gone overseas with no NBA lockout clause.
JR Smith, K Mart, and Wilson Chandler if I remember right.
Hopefully Jazz can get to the playoffs....then again, next year's draft is so good that getting to the playoffs would be bad.
