The more Texas talks, the less attractive the Big-12 looks.

And Utah to the Big-12? I hope that is a typo. I can hear the guffaws from the hill now. Why leave stability, equality, more money and beaches for the Big-12 and instability, inequity, less money and winter snow-drifts?

BYU should think HARD before accepting an invitation to that party.

Dodds said, ".... You have a clear path to the national championship game without stumbling in a (conference) championship game."

My sentiments, exactly. Why mess up your best team's road the the NC with a stupid conference championship game?

This is one of the problems I have with the NCAA basketball tournament: A year's record means nothing if you get upset. NOTHING. So, why play the regular season at all? Or keep a record of it?

Cinderella stories are fun, but they don't prove who had the best team for a given season, just who had the hottest or luckiest team in a tournament.

No, the cream doesn't always flow to the top in single elimination tournaments. Last year proved that.

That's why I'd rather see the NCAA basketball tourney be DOUBLE-elimination. It's technically possible.

And why I don't like conference championship games in football.

And why I'd like only a 4-team BCS playoff for the NC.
