Way to go Logan!
I'm moving to Logan.
If you live where helping people in need is an unusual occurance, I feel sorry for you.
This shouldn't restore anyone's "faith in humanity." It is, of course, a good reason for faith in Utahns.
All men may be created equal, but what they become after their creation depends in large part upon their culture. Utah has a good one, and it shows.
As the man says, "a pack, not a herd."
Many internet commenters are asking why the people just moved away after the rescue. NBC News said they were told to do so for their own safety after the police and paramedics arrived. They certainly didn't think job done, let's go.
@Dektol, I don't think this article is saying help is rarely needed in Logan, Utah. But it might be said that a call for help in Logan rarely goes unanswered. Cache Valley is a wonderful community with people from many walks of life. As a "true" Aggie, I can sincerely recommend it to anyone. If you don't live in such a place, I feel sorry for you.

Please don't tell people to come to cache valley. we like it the way it is. but you are right, it is a great place to live.
It's a great thing they did but I don't think humanity has strayed far from this anywhere. This sort of thing happens in small ways all the time everywhere, but we need outrage now to justify ourselves so badly we refuse to see it.
I live in Cache Valley and it is a great place with a lot of good people, but this was a reminder of the goodness and humanity found everywhere. There were guys in hard hats, guys in suits, foreign students, the lady on the ground, looking under the car, seemed to be one of the chief instigators. Just good, everyday people, from all genders, all walks of life, and all kinds of countries, doing the right thing. I can, daily, choose to be such a person, wherever I live.
A geat deal of the outcome lies with the police officer probably. Here a lone police office might just as well concentrate on keeping those people away and just wait for emergency personel to arrive. I would imagine that is the by the book way to keep more people out of danger.
But I think it's great to see people get involved, I'm glad the officer didn't stop them.
