I would prefer a bit of pandering to the silence of most candidates on the issue of immigration enforcement. "Build the fence" is an old saw that seems to work with the general population. And border security is part of the solution.
But we ought to be finding out their position on things like worksite raids, E-Verify, tougher ID theft laws, visa violation enforcement and detention/deportation capacity.
Cain and Bachmann have enough integrity to be open about their position. That ought to count for something.
But articles like this one attempt to splash mud on them for telling it like it is.
