Beautiful, appropriate program that we watched more than once yesterday.
What a touching, wonderful program it was! "America's Choir" represented our country well in paying tribute to the victims and families of 9/11. God bless America. May He protect us as we trust in Him.
This 9/11 remembrance program could not have been done better or been more moving. A program worth watching multiple times; gave chills at several junctures. The Mormon Tabernacle Choir has always been a valuable force for good. Case in point among many others, was their several excellent performances thruout the Olympics in 2002. Sincere Thanks to all who made Sunday's program happen.
I miss Tom Brokaw.
Simply, an amazing program! I was deeply moved. One cannot hear "Amazing Grace" with bagpipes with shedding a tear or two! America's Choir was at it's best. I, too, miss Tom Brokaw and the integrity he brought to network news.
This was so moving, it not only created a lump in my throat, but a deep renewal of pride for my country and the people who were most affected by this, the surviving family members and friends of those who died because of this tragedy. What great strength these parents, spouses, children, siblings have shown to all of us. You sit and ponder while you watch this, and a peace comes to you, a peace that someone is watching over these relatives of the wonderful first responders who showed the greatest love of all, that they were willing to give up their lives for their friends, even strangers.
Will this rendition be shown again, and if so when? Thank you.
I was unable to watch this program but hoped it would be displayed in its entirety on lds.com. I hope you will be able to do this, or prepare a complete video that can be purchased. This is my choir, and this was my newsman. I know it has to be a magnificent program and hoping and praying it will be made available again. I am not sure some of us will ever be completely healed from this tragedy. I cannot contain the tears and bewilderment I still feel when thinking of this date and all that happened.
I am proud of our country, our countrymen, and our magnificent Mormon Choir. And Tom, we miss you.
Our family hopes also, that this program will be made into a video that can be purchased as it is a most outstanding and finest 9/11 tribute.
