Dear DesNews,
I'm not sure how others feel but I find the "pop-down" football content feature on the Utah, Utah State, and BYU sports pages to be incredibly annoying. If these must remain, is there a way to have it default to the collapsed position rather than having to collapse it every time I open the page? (I'll admit I like the game time countdown.)
Fans of Utah, Utah St., and BYU, please weigh in.
@wiley
Agreed. Popdown very annoying.
Popdown was cool the first time, annoying every time since.
Thank you for mentioning it, Wiley. It's awful. If you forget and leave your volume on, it blasts in your ear. Please "Drop the Dropdown, Des News." Thanks.
TCU (BYU's only opponent in the top 25) lost Baylor.
Wonder how far they will drop.
TCU will drop three spots, Ducks will drop out of the top 10.
The schedule for BYU this year looks much weaker after the weekend. I once thought Oregon State was going to be a fair opponent until they got torn apart by a small school I didn't even know had a football program. I would not be surprised if they are unable to get a victory this year. Utah is shaky too, but at least they managed a W on the back of a strong first quarter. The way they played they have to be glad the P12 is the weakest the league has ever been and USC being ineligible. I would not be surprised if the Utes don't win a game on the road and still manage to make the championship game thanks to dodging Stanford and Oregon. TCU and Utah State lost heartbreakers.
In the end it Texas, TCU, Utah and UCF are the biggest games I am excited about.
For all those cougar fans who, despite evidence to the contrary via Phil Steele, have been touting the Y's schedule as tougher than Utah's...
Utah's opponents are now sitting at 8-4.
The cougars' opponents are 4-8.
Any Y fans still want to defend their Indy-WAC schedule as daunting?
P.S.: I too support dropping the "Pop down".
Oregon State lost to Sacramento State!? Ok, so much for that game being a challenge. And how could Idaho be 1-0 with their first game being a loss to Bowling Green?
Moderate:
Open mouth. Insert foot. The week 2 rankings just came out, and Texas is ranked this week in the Coaches Poll.
And yes the pop down is very annoying, almost as annoying as having to correct moderate's posts.
