I for one will never forget turning on the TV as I was eating breakfast that
Tuesday morning 10 years ago, tuning to KSL and hearing Tom Brokaw speaking. It
wasn't until the broadcast changed to a camera pointed at the twin towers did I
realize the significance of what I was witnessing.
Tom Brokaw spoke at the University of Montana's commencement last May when my
daughter graduated from there. His commencement address was one of the most
inspiring speeches I have ever heard. Congratulations to the Mormon Tabernacle
Choir leadership for getting Mr. Brokaw as your special guest for your 9/11
On 9/11, I managed to keep my emotions basically in check, until I walked in the
door after work and heard the Choir on TV, knowing that they were doing
something special. I think I heard 'America, the Beautiful' or some such, but
whatever it was, I just lost it , and then felt an actual sense of comfort from
'our Choir'- Never Ever forget that moment....
