The article says: " there are 30 million suicides every year in the United States; 1 million in the world."

We know what you mean, but you might want to edit that.

Pertaining to the article.. he says "If he could have shouted anything to the world from the mountaintop that day, he'd have shouted out that mental illness is real, and that through the proper mix of acceptance, understanding and therapy, it can be contained."

So true. Mental illness is very real and needs to be recognized more by society. Brain chemistry is a very very powerful thing, it dictates almost everything we do. That being said, you can never truly understand it unless you have experienced it.
