Funny how we always think in terms of $$$ instead of our health. For
example: "take thousands of tons of pollution out of our air and, according
to the Clean Air Task Force, save about $28 million a year in public health
costs." How about we save hundreds of lungs of hundreds of lives. We
think production, manufacturing, and the term "keep moviing forward",
is the way of advancing the quality of our lives, not always. When we start
becoming environmentally responsible in our manufacturing then we can advance
the human condition. But that requires the almighty dollar and unfortunately
most of us place the dollar (short-term needs) over the survival of humanity
(long term needs).
Air pollution? What air pollution?
Despite all the rhetoric and service to industry, the EPA has done great things
for this country.
