I like your insight eagle. Great post. I too think my Mustangs were a bit shaky against Provo, and that is to be expected with a new QB for the first time in 4 years. That being said, I think this may be a bit of a re-building year for Mtn. Crest. Sadly I think Lone Peak will run away with this one. Hopefully I am wrong.

@Eagle- I'll go out on a limb here, but Hurricane is traditionally a defensive team. It sticks in my mind that they gave up less that 14 points a game last season on average.

Provo, UT

John Paul:

I am not as well versed with Hurricane. They have a great program. I have seen West Jordan play every single year. They do the spread pretty well, have great receivers who also play in the secondary but not quite as well. Even Bingham gave up 28 points to them. West Jordan shows the propensity to score against even the better/best teams in the state. The problem they have is they can't stop anyone. They aren't really tough minded in my opinion or physical. I think Hurricane has the edge there. But WJ has receivers that are talented and have been three-year starters so the big question is, can Hurricane stop these receivers? I think it will be a shootout and a very entertaining game. Going south is hard for Salt Lake area teams sometimes. I wouldn't be surprised if either team won to be honest. Maybe 90 points is a stretch, maybe something like 45-42 or 42-35, maybe West Jordan but I have plenty of respect for Hurricane and again wouldn't be shocked if they beat another big school team. Those boys are tough!

West Jordan and Hurricane will be a great game. Taylor Parker is doubtful for the game, which will hurt Hurricane. This game might be a shoutout as others have predicted, but Hurricane game is to run it down your throats with long sustaining drives. I respect any team that can spread the field and throw the ball. Look what Riley Nelson and Logan did to Hurricane a while back. Scarry game!!! My prediction 28 to 27 Hurricane. I hope we hold West Jordan to 27 points or it might be a long night for the Hurricane. GO TIGERS

Friday Night Rider,

Nice pick of 30-29 for Alta,
Thats jsut a horrible pick partner!

Toquerville, UT

John Paul,
To be precise, including preseason & playoffs, Hurricane gave up 15.66 per game. Take out the Cedar debacle 13.09.

Gunnison, Utah

Mt.Crest will not have any rebuilding years. They will just reload and get it done

Provo, UT

Just what I thought down in Hurricane, a high scoring affair, 84 combined wins and Hurricane finds a way to win and West Jordan doesn't get it done.

96 minutes of scoreless football for Hunter, the spread isn't working...

So far, after the Friday night games, you are 20 for 27 for 74% this week.

That is impressive. On Parry's Guide, your pick should replace Edward's.
