"King Is The First Person Of Color To Have A Monument Erected In His Honor"? Oh so we have forgotten the Vietnam veterans already??? All "White People" have NO PIGMENTATION at all??? I am offended as a Euro-American to be labeled as a person without "COLOR"?!?!?!?!?!?! I have color!!! I have blue eyes, a tanned skin, A "WHITE" scar on my hip, which means the rest of me is DARKER THAN WHITE! As a matter of fact as Afro Americans used to resent being labeled "Colored People" I resent being labeled a person without color! I have grey hair!!! Blue eyes, and grey hair and a white scar definately are FULL representations that I am a person of COLOR! Because if I have a "WHITE SCAR" then the skin surrounding the scar can't be white, it must be "OTHER" and if it is "Other" I am definatley not "WHITE" I am a EURO-American!!! Please address "White People" as such, or you can address me as a "Mormon", but please don't call me a WHITE Person anymore!!!

I for one am grateful for the monument of "King", I think it is well overdue!!! May we represent his ideals well!

Dr. King took a stand when few others dared. He is a great American.

How does America honor a great American? How about a $100,000,000 monument made from Chinese granite - designed and carved a Chinese artist! American granite and American black artists are not good enough, apparently, to honor a great black American.

So, the next time those of you who believe in and want to live Dr. King's dream are complaining about poverty and a lack of opportunity because jobs are being sent overseas...remember the $100,000,000 Dr. King monument outsourced to China.

The rumbling in Virginia today was not an earthquake...it was Dr. King rolling over in his grave.
