Wow! That is a great story! I don't know anything about this young man, but to be a freshman in that situation and pull it off says a lot about the kid, his teammates, and coaches. Good job young man...you'll really like it when you get to shave. Just kidding. Good work.

have to admit I didn't see this coming, congrats to Kafentsis and Jordan for beating a good Fremont team....looks like Region 3 is going to be a battle this year.

Will he be able to skip his Junior and Senior years and declare early for college? There is a lot of money to be earned at some schools, but that window may be closing soon.

Is this the fifth product of the Eric Kjar quarterback factory? The last four starters have been first team All State.

Bbzebra, I wouldn't call it a qb factory. Do you know where alex hart played in little league and where he lived? The hint is it wasn't jordan...

What do you do with an inexperienced Prep QB? You Blitz!! Fremont blitzed once, yea that's right 1 time. The coaching staff lost this game.

I will give the young QB credit though, you hung in there. Nice job.

We'll see what happens now.....same thing happened last year against Jordan and Fremont made a huge run to the Championship game.

The Hawk? Sounds a little biased to me. If Alex Hart was all that in Alta's Ute Conference, why did he not stay at Alta? Has Alta had six straight years with a first team All State QB? Might have something to do with the offense they run, and the coaching. Give credit where credit is due.

I picked Jordan to win but wasn't too sure of it.
I predict both Jordan and Fremont will get wins this week.
Alex Hart played at Jordan all three years he was in high school and his senior year was two years ago. Isn't it time you got over it, "the hawk"? Alta doesn't have a monopoly on talented football players.
Austin Kafentsis is just the latest in a series of pretty good quarterbacks playing for Jordan.
Lone Peak High School Fan must be afraid of Fremont, that he feels the need to taunt them for losing to a good team. Lone Peak schedules two 4A schools and we're supposed to be impressed when they win?
Davis is the first real challenge they'll face.

Alex hart wasn't going to be the starter Ammon Olsen was. Check it out for yourself.

No use arguing with a Jordan Fan they think every team is going all the way and every player is all world. When most the time they always come up a day late and a dollar short. All though I will give them credit for beating Freemont a lot have picked them to win it all. And the fact this kid is a frosh is very impressive. But please lets not start putting lables on a kid who is prob only 14. Not fair to him and "skipping his junior and senior yrs of highschool and declare early"? Im hoping that was a joke. Although highschool football is getting better in Utah its not quite there yet. With the exception of lineman. But it will be fun to watch his progress the next 4 yrs. but what a way to start your highschool career. Congrats!

Check it out, you say. Ok, I'm game. Where is this information available other than in your opinion?

What information are you referring to? And what are we "checking out".

Simply stating that Alex Hart did in fact grow up in Alta's little league program and lived in their boundaries. Not saying he wasn't a great player for Jordan (because he was) I was just stating that calling Jordan a "QB Factory is a bit of a stretch. BT the war is over and your foot is better. Calm down.

I didn't call Jordan a "QB factory", someone else did.
Jordan has a pass-oriented offense so naturally the quarterbacks will get a lot of passing yards. In that, you may be right to say it's a bit of a stretch to call Jordan a "QB factory". My question was "where's the proof that Hart went to Jordan based on the assumption that he would be a backup behind Olson?" I do owe you an apology about the way in which I phrased the question in my first post so I apologize.

Ammon Olsen was a year older than Hart "the hawk", so they would have battled for the starting spot in Hart's JR year, not SR year. Go ahead and check that out. Just sayin, totally different years. Jordan has a very strong QB coach that does a great job developing his players. Coach Kjar is a stud coach and does a great job at Jordan.
