Do legislators deal directly with teachers or do they deal with school boards and administrators? It looks to me like Mr. Florez is allowing the school boards and administrators to pass the buck instead of taking the responsibility of seeing that our children are being educated.
The goal is to educate children, not to coddle teachers or to make the life of an administrator pleasant. When the job is not getting done, there will be a lot of unpleasantness.
Too many of our children think that they're getting a first-class education, when, in reality, they can hardly read, write and do simple math.
Too many administrators, who should know everything there is to know about teaching, think that their teaching days are done as soon as they get that cushy job in administration. That's when the job really starts. That's when they teach the teachers.
While I agree with Mr. Richards that Mr. Florez passed the buck so did Mike,
Lets unshackle the teachers in their rooms how about we make the PARENTS responsible for their childrens education like it used to be! Now days little
Johnny & Sue get a away being brats at school and then when The teacher tries
to stop it they are brow beatten by mommy & daddy or threatened with law suits
because "GASP" my childs psychy has been damaged for life. Its time for parents
to face the fact that they are responsible for their childrens behaivor not
the teachers, if a child acts up in class send the brats home and let the parents pay for daycare instead of expecting the school system to do it.
This may be unpopular but like many things, Life isn't fair when you play
a game sombody always is the loser So parents how about teaching your kids
how to behave at school instead of blaming the system for your lack of parenting skills. The children are your Responsibility.

Have you been in a local school lately? They are learning things I only drempt of being able to learn in my High School years.
The problem really is some parents and children not applying themselves and I put most of the emphasis on parents.
Many of our kids are brilliant from hard work at school and parental envolvement, you should meet some.
