Vai, how come you didn't let your readers know that your co-speakers at the multi Tongan stake fireside were Kalani Sitake and Kyle Whittingham?

Vai, you are a "BYU Legend", at least in my mind and I'm sure in many more minds also. So many of us look forward to your articles to learn, be entertained and grow spiritually. Thank you for your views. We share them and they make us stronger.

AZ Dave clearly has never been to Ed Week so I'll cut him some slack. Once he goes, his tone will change....Guaranteed.

Hey, I want to hear more about the Stake Fireside with Kyle Whittingham. Did Coach Whit really speak? That would have been a great meeting to attend.

Here, let me help you out.

"Hey, Vai, was that the same Fireside that Kalani Sitake and Kyle Whittingham spoke at? I would like to hear more about that!"

Most of your brethren with interests in all things U recognize that Vai deals strait and has been very complimentary to the U and coach W.

I really like Vai's column, usually one of the best on DN. His articles are pretty engaging, and he seems to be a real dynamic man with alot of great experiences to share. Thanks, Vai.

I always like reading Vai's features and seeing the associated pictures. However, this column seems to be more like his personal journal entry for the week. I did enjoy the MTC experience. I was in that same old MTC w/ Vai back in 1982. But, with that being said, I will always read Vai's columns. And I agree w/ Eddie in Syracuse above, Vai IS a BYU Legend!

Vai, you are so talented!!!!!! Scary talented!!!!! One can never predict where you are going with an article----twists and turns everywhere. You write like none other!!!!! You have perfected your talent with words and communication. Some may think you rambled with this article but it was wonderful. You mention so many people that it is like you are linking the world together by who is who and who knows who. I don't know anyone you mentioned and yet you bring them close to the rest of us.

Vai is a BYU legend. He never would call for a fair catch when fielding a punt. I'm not sure if it demonstrated lack of fear, or just lack of good sense, but it made for great football. Whenever BYU punt returners wave their little hand so no one will hurt them, I think, wow, what a sissy, Sikahema would never have done that.

Vai's is an awesome success story. Has he written a book yet? If he hasn't done, he could publish his columns in a volume, for one book, at least. I can still see him some 30 years ago getting behind the defense and catching a pass for a touchdown that must have been in the 60-80 yard range. Way to go Bro. Sikahema! Keep writing. You are "touching" many.
