Thanks Mr. Felt. I always look forward to your little tid-bits of info.
One interesting side note about the realignment in 2A is that of the schools that were in 2A last year, Millard is the only School that doesn't play ANY of the schools that were in their region last year. In fact, the only school that they play in the regular season that they played last year is the endowment game (N. Sanpete). Should be fun seeing all new teams in the regular season.
Good luck to all the teams. Have fun and hope you have a great year.

Mr Felt,

Love you information and am amazed at it. 2 comments though:

You say: "Emery, Hillcrest and Skyline celebrate their 50th seasons for the Eagles, the first season they're not in the largest-school classification." Isn't the same true for Hillcrest?

Also you state: " in 5A (seven teams per region; four per region go to state)" There are only six teams in each 5A region (and 4 go to state).

Hey Parry,

Thanks for your careful reading - I should hire you as a fact-checker. You are probably correct about Hillcrest - I can't remember when it wasn't - and you are correct about six team in each 5A region. Now I've made two of the three mistakes I'm allowed for the year. Gotta use that last one carefully.

And I'm glad football season is here.

I was on the Ben Lomond team last time they won 13-7 in OT vs Union my senior year and we also lost to Gratsville 10-13 in a game we should have won and last year they lost to Ogden 7-12, But Ogden and Ben Lomond have been playing since 1953 and u did not talk about them y? This year look for Ben Lomond to stay in games with Ogden and do okay vs Union, and for them to beat Carbon the streak will die at 19 it will not pass the 21 from 93 to 96!

Mr. Felt you are probably right about San Juan only losing two games and not to Utah teams in the last two years. Their last loss then would have been to North Summit in the quarter finals not the championship game because we beat Millard 30-6 at S.U.U.for an undegeated season. I love your sports information.
