Ahh yes, a bus tour to spin the message that the republicans are pronouncing. With the help of Oprah and the leftist media, he will do just fine. And he has a very good chance of being re-elected. He didn't redistribute all that wealth 'from each to each' (vote purchasing) without a purpose in mind....continued power.

Let's hope Obama's 'political counteroffensive' is more effective than his jobs creation program. The reason he's foundering is that he's proven he's not capable of the position he's in. It's what is known as the 'Peter Principle'.

KM,

What is the republican message other than we need to make President Obama a one term President? Haven't seen anything specific about how to solve the debt problem other than we won't raise taxes.

"We've still got a long way to go to get to where we need to be. We didn't get into this mess overnight, and it's going to take time to get out of it,"

Some questions from this quote:

1. When are the brakes going to come on and change the direction of the mess?
2. In three years the mess has increased! How much additional time are we going to need?
3. Will Obama care fix the mess?
4. Will incresing taxes on our employers get us out of this mess?
5. Will playing the George Bush card fix this mess?
6. Will playing the infrastructure card increase jobs and provide time to get out of this mess?
7. Will paying ten million dollars a day for an undeclared war in Libya, get us out of this mess?
8. How much time do we need? How will BO use time to get us out of this mess?
9. What's BO's plan?

@ Fred44. All I can say is that you are not listening! The Republicans have said over and over again they will cut the run away spending, balance the budget and cap spending. Obama wants just the opposite. If Obama gets his way, hello England, Greece and Spain!

Lets face it the GOP pounds the president at their debates leaving eeach other more or less alone.

The GOP candidates have some merit but instead they point their fingers at what has been done and using their excellent hindsight they tell us what messes they would have avoided.

Perry is more of what we have already not enjoyed in this country. Has anyone heard of his state handling the immigration problem? They never will as it would be political suicide for a govenor from Texas or president to handle that mess. Too much of Texas relies upon illegal immigrants.

Has Perry even once distanced himself from big business? Chevron and Exxon would again be running the country. Has he even suggested in anyway to cut military spending tha takes 46 cents out of every tax dollar?

There is a problem in Washington but no GOP hopeful has come with a plan other than a bash plan. Bachman, Romney, Perry all have been in unique situations where they are able to help the country but instead they continue to bang their own drum.

This country need something else. Do not fall for more of the same.

I disagree.

'Seven years and five months after the U.S.-led invasion, the last American combat brigade was leaving Iraq, well ahead of President Barack Obama's Aug. 31 deadline for ending U.S. combat operations there.'

*'Deportation of illegal immigrants increases under Obama administration' - By Peter Slevin - 07/26/10 - Washington Post

'The Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency expects to deport about 400,000 people this fiscal year, nearly 10 percent above the Bush administration's 2008 total and 25 percent more than were deported in 2007. The pace of company audits has roughly quadrupled since President George W. Bush's final year in office.'

AND Osama Bin Laden's dead.

What did Republican leaderhsip do?

Back to George Bush. The past three years has been obamas presidency. Obama plays the Bush card to hide his weak leadership and you fall for it everytime. Truth be known,--there were WMDs.
