Everyday I just get more and more excited for some football!!!!!!!
Are you ready for some football?!?!?!?!?
Excited for a Ute .500 record at the end of the season.
Why would you be excited about that, Troll? Someone who's name implies that she calls out trolls. Oh the irony!
Troll,
Aren't you referring to your cougars after beating up on WAC nobodies? Way to salvage another 1-4 start.
We'll be just fine.
10-2 Utes. Mark it Down.
@Troll Hunter
Excited for another Cougar blowout loss to Utah State and ANOTHER 5+ loss season.
Shouldn't your name be Hunted Troll?
Ute season ticket package included a score card for tracking The Deseret Duel. We use that to track win/loss against rival Colorado, right?

Utah is one out of four.
Do what you think is best.
@Troll Hunter:
.500 record? When was the last time the Ute's had a .500 season? Ever? Oh, and when was the last time the Cougar's had a national championship?
GO UTES!!!!
Hope BYU has fun going 6-6 and playing in the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl. Meanwhile, Utah'll be 10-2 or 11-1 and playing Oregon for the Pac-12 Championship.
GO UTES!!!!
Wynn missed throwing practice for the second straight day. Not a good sign.
Re UoU1991:
He's on a throw limit for precautionary reasons, this was planned months ago, throwing practice isn't important and missing it is even less important. If he starts missing reps during team drills then we can worry.
"If he starts missing reps during team drills then we can worry."
Then you'd better start worrying, because Wynn has missed reps in practice the last two days; in fact, he hasn't throw a ball in practice the last two days.
What in the world would lead you Utes to think that your team will be so successful in the PAC-12?
You return only 11 players from a team that had blow out losses to Notre Dame, TCU, and Boise St. And had to block a fieldgoal at the end of the game to beat you 6-6 rival.
You have no experience and untested talent at the RB position, a QB thats a joke, and only 4 returning starters on defense. Add an OC who has not had a winning season since 2004. And somehow that spells out a 10-2 or 11-1 season?
Delusion at its finest.
After beating an FCS Montana St. The Utes will be decimated at the Collusium by USC. Then limp back to Utah for a massacre in Provo. You can also count on losses to ASU, UW, and Pitt.
The only likely wins are MSU, WSU, OSU, UCLA, CU, and Cal.
Best case scenario for Utah is 8-4. Worst 5-7.
You're lucky to avoid the 2 best teams in your conference.
You're right R.A.W. I think Utah should just give up and not play football this season and take a few years off until they are ready to play football in the PAC 12.
chicagoborn,
Yeah, a couple years might help out. Then again, the Arizona schools have been members of the PAC-10 for about 30 years and between the 2 of them have only been to the Rose Bowl one time.
So maybe the Utes should just discontinue football altogether.
It looked to me from the article like Wynn threw numeous times in practice? Maybe I missed something. However, the fact the coaches have to limit his reps is a bit worrisome. I know it was planned, but it would be nice if he could go all out. On the flip side - it is nice to see the backups get some throws.
Utes will be fun to watch this year. We definitely have better competition - I have a lot of faith in KW...Utah should be fine.
Go Utes!
@RAW
From their joining the PAC until 2000, ASU went to the Rose Bowl twice. They won once and appeared and won in numerous other bowls (including several Fiesta Bowls) while Utah was nowhere on the bowl scene and went to maybe two lesser bowls - total. Let's see how the Utes do in their first 30 years in the PAC. I bet ASU has a better record vs. Utah the next 10 years. Go Devils!!!!
@RAW:
The smack talk gets old fast, doesn't it.
It's good to hear a disinterested, unbiased, third party speak the truth:
"You return only 11 players from a team that had blow out losses to Notre Dame, TCU, and Boise St. And had to block a fieldgoal at the end of the game to beat you 6-6 rival."
Pretty much sums up the great tun.
Re Swoop:
I don't know where you are getting your info, but you are flat out wrong. Wynn is throwing in practice and has been every single day, but he's on a throw limit.
Think about it: if Wynn wasn't throwing in practice don't you think at least one media outlet would report it? Yet none have. In fact the opposite is true. I saw footage of Wynn throwing in practice today on channel 2, and Coach Whit and about 10 players commented on how well Wynn threw in practice, today.
Like I said no need to worry.
